About the STEM Initiative
The STEM camp opens a new corridor for our kids to explore a new dimension to connect them in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. A plethora of opportunities in robotics, drones etc. will help them explore avenues that are different from their curriculum.
Our High-Level Plans for Seasons 2023-2024 and 2024-2025
- Show and Tell Events in the Community: The Show and Tell event will captivate young minds and lead them to the upper echelon of STEM learning. For instance, “Just Plane Awesome” is one such event that explores a working of an aircraft, pretty fitting for kids who grew up in this first in flight state.
- Support for Existing and New Teams: Collaborate with the REC Foundation to provide resources, mentorship, and guidance to both established and emerging teams participating in various programs.
- Interest Camps in Summer 2024 and 2025: Organize immersive STEM camps during the summer break, encouraging hands-on learning and sparking curiosity.
- World-Class Event Support: Back our teams as they compete at prestigious international events, fostering a sense of achievement and global exposure.
- Monthly Scrimmage Events (Season 2024-2025): Host friendly competitions and collaborative challenges, allowing students to apply their STEM knowledge in a fun and supportive environment.
- State Qualifying Event (Season 2024-2025): Provide a platform for teams to showcase their skills and qualify for state-level competitions.
